OPENING OF NEW SIGNAL BOX AND ALTERATION OF AND ADDITIONAL SIGNALS AT LOCH-AWE

The present Signal frame and the Dwarf frame at the East end of the Station will be discontinued, and the Signals at present worked from them, together with the new and altered Signals, will be worked from the new Signal Box. The Dwarf Frame at the West end of the Goods Sidings will be superseded by a new Dwarf frame on the South side of the Line, about 78 yards East from the present Frame.

The following is a complete list of the Signals at this Station:-

Home Signals.- The Up Signal stands by the South side of the Line, about 311 yards West from the Box.

The Down Signal has been shifted about 35 yards further East from the Box, and now stands by the South side of the Line, about 212 yards East from the Box.

Siding Signals.- The Signal from the Goods Siding (East end) to the Main Up Line stands outside the Goods Siding, about 118 yards West from the Box.

A new Signal from the Pier Siding to the Main Down Line has been placed outside the Pier Siding, about 96 yards West from the Box, and about 45 yards West from the existing Semaphore Signal, which it will supersede.

A new Signal from the Goods Siding (West end) to the Main Line has been placed outside the Goods Siding, about 38 yards West from the Dwarf Frame, and about 1 yard East from the existing Semaphore Signal, which it will supersede. This Signal will be worked from the Dwarf Frame.
