OPENING OF CRIANLARICH JUNCTION

CRIANLARICH JUNCTION (EAST) BOX

In consequence of the junction formed with the West Highland Railway about 28 yards east of mile post 30¼ of the Callander & Oban Railway, a new signal box brought into use between the West Highland Railway and the Callander & Oban Railway, about 165 yards east of the junction and 418 yards west of the signal box. It will work the following signals:

Up Home Signal, with Crianlarich Station Up Distant Signal lower on the same post and with a bracket (Up Home to Branch), on the north side of the line, about 194 yards west of the signal box and near mile post 30¼.

Up Branch Advance Home Signal, with Crianlarich Station (West Highland Railway) Up Distant Signal lower on the same post, between the Callander & Oban Railway and the West Highland Railway, about 112 yards east of the signal box.

Down Main Home Signal, with West box Down Main Distant Signal lower on the same post, on the north side of the Main Line, opposite the signal box.

Down Home Signal from Branch, at the east end of the Loop, about 193 yards east of the signal box.

Down Advance Home Signal from Branch, with West box Down Branch Distant Signal lower on the same post, on the south side of the Branch, about 51 yards west of the signal box.

Up Main Distant Signal, lower on post of West box Up Home Signal, with a bracket signal (Up Distant Signal for Branch), about 502 yards west of the signal box.

Down Main Distant Signal, lower on same post as Crianlarich (Callander & Oban Railway) Station Advance Down Home Signal, on the south side of the Main Line, about 730 yards east of the signal box.

Down Distant Signal from Branch, lower on post of Crianlarich (West Highland Railway) Station Advance Down Home Signal, on the south side of the Branch, about 494 yards east of the signal box.

Ground Disc Signals: From No. 1 Siding, between Nos. 1 and 2 Sidings, about 39 yards east of the signal box.

From No. 2 Siding, between Sidings and the West Highland Railway, about 39 yards east of the signal box.

From Sidings to Down Main Line, between Sidings and the West Highland Railway, about 19 yards west of the signal box.

From Down Main Line to Up Main Line, between Up and Down Main Lines, about 102 yards west of the signal box.

From Down Main Line to Sidings, between Up and Down Main Lines, about 101 yards west of the signal box.

Down Branch Line to Dead End Sidings, on the south side of the Branch Line, about 108 yards west of the signal box.

Dead End Siding to Branch Up Line, between the Siding and the Branch Line, about 150 yards west of the signal box.

The old Crianlarich (Callander & Oban Railway) Station Up Distant Signal has been superseded and is now the lower signal on the post of the East box Up Home Signal, which also carries a bracket arm.

CRIANLARICH JUNCTION (WEST) BOX

In consequence of the junction formed with the West Highland Railway about 28 yards east of mile post 30¼ of the Callander & Oban Railway, a new signal box brought into use on the north side of the Callander & Oban Railway, about 253 yards west of the junction, working the following new signals:

Up Home Signal, on a post with two Up and a bracket signal, about 83 yards west of the signal box, on the north side of the line.

Main Down Home Signal, on a post with one Down and one Disc Signal (Down Line to Sidings), on the south side of the line, about 31 yards east of the signal box.

Up Distant Signal, on the north side of the line, about 878 yards west of the signal box.

Down Main Distant Signal, lower on the same post as the East box Down Main Home Signal, on the north side of the line, about 420 yards east of the signal box.

Down Branch Distant Signal, lower on the same post as East box Down Branch Advance Home, on the south side of the Branch, about 367 yards east of the signal box.

Ground Disc Signals: Up Signal from Main Line to Down Main Line, between Main Line and Up Home Signal, about 83 yards west of the signal box.

Signals to Main Line, outside the Sidings, about 61 yards west of the signal box.

From No. 1 Siding, between Nos. 1 and 2 Sidings, about 129 yards west of the signal box.

From No. 2 Siding, outside the Sidings, about 129 yards west of the signal box.

To come into operation on Monday, the 20th day of December, 1897.
