BANAVIE NORTH AND SOUTH

ADDITIONAL TOKEX IMPLEMENTATION AT BANAVIE

The current double exchange facility available for use by the Banavie North and South panel signallers is being extended.

At present, the double exchange procedure is only used for the return and issue of single section tokens and is completed in one data transaction, i.e. the driver pressing and holding the SEND button on the cab CDU.

This procedure reduces radio dialogue between the driver and signaller and speeds up the process of transacting tokens resulting in significant time saving and congestion on the system.

Drivers should therefore be aware that the double exchange procedure will now be used for the following combinations of tokens.

1. Single section token return - Single section token issue.
2. Single section token return - Long section token issue.
3. Long section token return - Long section token issue.
4. Long section token return - Single section token issue.

Please note that only the token exchange procedure is being changed and not the token configurations nor the Token Exchange Points, which will remain exactly the same as at present.
