These instructions appeared in the Appendix to the Working Time Table, dated 1st May, 1915.

BELL COMMUNICATION WITH AGENTS DURING NIGHT AND ON SUNDAYS.-A Bell Communication has been introduced into each Agent's house for the purpose of enabling the Station Masters to communicate with each other, and with Stirling and Oban, in the event of assistance being required consequent upon an accident or block on the Line. Station Masters and Signalmen must, before going off duty at night, test the Night Bell and see that it is working properly.
