Padlocking of Points

These instructions appeared in the Appendix to the Working Time Tables, dated 1st August, 1888.

The Points at certain Stations where Trains do not stop are now padlocked, namely:- Strathyre, Lochearnhead, Glenoglehead Crossing, Luib, Crianlarich, and the Down facing points at Tyndrum; and where Trains cross each other the points are locked at each end, so that it is necessary for their being unlocked by hand before the Trains can proceed further.
